PROJECT OUTLINE

Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by DS Energy to provide town planning assistance for a minor change application for the Southern Hotel in Ruthven Street, Kearneys Spring.

The proposed changes to the existing hotel include the installation of 629 solar panels across five array structures over the northern carpark area, in addition to four electric vehicle charging bays available for use by hotel patrons. The charging stations have a maximum charging capacity of 194kW combined.

The solar arrays will generate up to 280kW of clean energy, enhancing the site's sustainability with most of the electricity being consumed by the hotel.
