Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by the RSPCA (Qld) to provide town planning assistance associated with the establishment of an Animal Welfare Centre within the Wellcamp Airport and Business Park. The project involved a development application for Material Change of Use and sought approval for eleven (11) buildings over four (4) stages. The development included the establishment of an administration and adoption building, kennels and cat enclosures, an equestrian stable, wildlife clinic, laundry and multiple storage areas. The development site was located in a High Impact Industry Zone and was required to be publicly notified during the assessment process.
