PROJECT OUTLINE
Precinct Urban Planning, in association with Economic Associates was engaged by Moreton Bay Regional Council to undertake a Needs Assessment of Retail and Commercial Sectors within the MBRC region. The purpose of the assessment was to examine the strategic and statutory planning provisions required to implement a sustainable Commercial and Activity Centres Network throughout the Local Government Area.
KEY TASKS
- Provision of Strategic and Statutory Planning Advice
- Review existing planning controls, schemes and policies
- Identification of planning controls that currently influence the sustainable development of the Retail and Commercial Sectors within MBRC
- Identification of potential planning measures which will facilitate the sustainable development of the Retail and Commercial Sectors within MBRC
- Preparation of Planning Scheme amendments giving practical effect to the future Commercial, Retail and Activity Centres planning in the Moreton Bay Region
