PROJECT OUTLINE

Quality Plastic Products engaged Precinct Urban Planning to provide town planning assistance associated with seeking Development Permits for plastic manufacturing activities. The combined development application involved a Material Change of Use for Medium Impact Industry and Warehouse uses as well as an Environmentally Relevant Activity (ERA) for Plastic Product Manufacturing (producing greater than 50 tonnes of plastic products per year) at the site in Narangba. The project involved three use areas: Shed 1 for Medium Impact Industry involving manufacturing up to 2,400 tonnes per annum of nursery products (pots & trays from new and recycled polypropylene); and Sheds 2 and 3 for Warehouse uses and storage of the manufactured plastic products. The design and layout of the new premises allowed for any potential sources of nuisance and impact to be appropriately managed so that the development did not adversely affect the surrounding amenity or cause environmental harm.
