Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by George Weston Foods Limited to provide town planning assistance associated with the establishment of a master-planned residential community in Harlaxton. The project involved an application for Preliminary Approval to Vary the Effect of the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme 2012 to facilitate the future development of the land in accordance with a Strategic Master Plan. The proposal facilitated the future development of the land for residential purposes and included a mix of Neighbourhood Residential, Mixed Residential and Hillside Residential housing typologies. The master-planned community also included provision of an open space and parkland corridor and a local convenience centre to service the surrounding residential community.
