PROJECT OUTLINE
The Ipswich Turf Club engaged Precinct Urban Planning to provide town planning services for the preparation and lodgement of a development application for the installation of lights around the existing track so as to facilitate the opportunity for twilight racing. Precinct also previously assisted the Ipswich Turf Club with the town planning requirements to establish the Barn Restaurant at the club. The Barn Restaurant will assist with the creation of a racing precinct and is intended to complement the other facilities on the site, creating diversity in the types of functions and gatherings that can be undertaken at the Ipswich Turf Club. The Ipswich Turf Club along with Racing Queensland aims to make the racecorse a key regional racing facility. The Ipswich Turf Club contributes to the local economy and the improved facilities s along with more track meets mean that the Ipswich Turf Club will grow in the future and provide more local employment and greater economic benefits for both Ipswich and Queensland.
