PROJECT OUTLINE
Precinct Urban Planning was engaged to provide town planning assistance associated with the establishment of a master-planned residential community in Mount Kynoch. The project involved an application for Preliminary Approval to Vary the Effect of the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme 2012 to facilitate the integrated and coordinated subdivision, use and development of the subject land for a mix of uses consistent with the Habitat – Mount Kynoch Illustrative Structure Plan. The project foreshadowed the emergence of a fully serviced and master planned urban community centred on primary and secondary Local Centres and an integrated and linked open space network. The Preliminary Approval will facilitate a mix of housing forms and densities to respond to the site attributes and the projected needs of persons in all stages of the lifecycle.
