PROJECT OUTLINE
Toowoomba Regional Council engaged Precinct Urban Planning to secure a Development Permit for a new Utility Installation (Water Treatment Plant) at Greenmount, Qld, with funding provided by the Queensland Government. The proposed Water Treatment Plant will comprise a conventional treatment plant with a capacity to treat 3 ML of raw water per day, provided from the proposed Toowoomba to Warwick pipeline. The treatment plant will provide potable water to the communities of Cambooya, Greenmount, Nobby and Clifton. The site is located adjacent to the existing water reservoir to the north east. The facility includes an administration/switchroom/wetlab building, dosing and storage facilities, and treatment plant components - holding tanks, raw water tank and an operating and emergency lagoon.
