PROJECT OUTLINE

Precinct Urban Planning has been proud to assist Clive Palmer and Drewmaster with obtaining the Development Permit for a new car museum in the Somerset Region. The museum will have a floor area of 45,000m² and will house approximately 900 cars and 350 motorcycles. The project also includes 10 short-term accommodation units, providing additional options for visitors to stay in the region. This project is expected to significantly boost the local economy and provide a range of job opportunities during both construction and operation.

This project is significant from a planning perspective as it is located outside the Urban Footprint area under the South East Queensland Regional Plan, which for a project of this scale is generally unsupported. Precinct was able to successfully demonstrate the overriding need for this development in order to obtain the required approvals from both Regional and State levels of government.
