Kim Reeve is a qualified Town Planner with over 16 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. In 2007, she was employed as a Student Planner for the Western Downs Regional Council while studying for a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning at the St Lucia Campus of The University of Queensland. Upon graduation in 2009, Kim took up a full-time position in the Development Assessment Unit of the Western Downs Regional Council, where she later became the Development Assessment Coordinator. During her time with Western Downs, Kim undertook a wide range of complex development applications and was responsible for assessing major projects within the region, including solar farms and gas-fired power stations, heavy and extractive industries, commercial and rural activities, and large-scale residential developments. Kim also had oversight of the Council’s Development Assessment Unit and assisted with the preparation of the Western Downs Regional Planning Scheme. During this time, Kim also gained valuable experience liaising with State Agencies while preparing and presenting reports for Council stakeholders. Since joining Precinct in 2012, Kim has assumed responsibility for a wide range of key clients and has gained extensive experience in preparing development applications within the private sector. She has been involved in the facilitation of major residential, commercial, industrial and rural development projects including residential unit complexes, residential subdivisions, mixed-use commercial, retail showrooms, intensive animal industries, extractive industries and industrial complexes.
