PROJECT OUTLINE
Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by Rhonzoa Pty Ltd to provide town planning assistance associated with seeking development approval for a Section 242 Preliminary Approval to Vary the Effect of the Planning Scheme for the Dairy Farmers Complex located in Brook Street, North Toowoomba. The project involved varying the underlying existing industrial zoning of the land to allow for the re-purposing of existing industrial buildings to be used as a mixed-use commercial precinct. The subject land is identified as a State Heritage Place on the Queensland Heritage Register and a Local Heritage Place under the Planning Scheme. The development was designed to ensure that heritage values associated with the place were maintained and protected.
