PROJECT OUTLINE

JLC Trust 2 engaged Precinct Urban Planning to provide town planning assistance associated with the development of a Transport Depot and Waste Transfer Station in Yatala, Qld. The project involved facilitating the parking of trucks associated with the collection and transport of wastes, as well as servicing of the truck fleet on site. The regulated waste is sometimes required to be stored temporarily in the trucks on the site before it can be delivered to the appropriate disposal facility. This arrangement is permitted under the requirements of the applicant’s Environmental Authority. For this process, there will be two large tanks installed for the temporary storage of waste.

The project has a gross floor area of 183m2 and includes a parking area, office building, amenities, outdoor seating/passive recreation area, workshop and washbay. The operation will employ up to 20 staff including truck drivers, on-site maintenance and administration staff.
