PROJECT OUTLINE

Precinct Urban Planning was engaged to provide town planning assistance to Envorinex Pty Ltd associated with the Material Change of Use (MCU) application for High Impact Industry (Plastics Recycling and Manufacturing) and for two Environmentally Relevant Activities (ERA) for plastic product manufacturing and mechanical waste processing.

The proposed facility will accommodate two separate buildings – the Reprocessing building engaged in plastics cleaning and recycling together with the Re-manufacturing building for manufacturing second life plastic products from reclaimed, recycled, and palletised plastic compounds. The facility will recycle and process 8,000 tonnes of HDPE and polypropylene per annum.

The site is located within the Wellcamp Business Park, approximately 6km west of Toowoomba in an area that is zoned for industrial purposes under the Toowoomba Regional Planning Scheme 2012.
