Precinct Urban Planning, in association with Economic Associates was engaged by Moreton Bay Regional Council to undertake a Needs Assessment of Retail and Commercial Sectors within the Moreton Bay Regional Council region. The purpose of the assessment was to examine the strategic and statutory planning provisions required to implement a sustainable Commercial and Activity Centres Network throughout the Local Government Area.

 

Key Tasks

  • Provision of Strategic and Statutory Planning Advice
  • Review existing planning controls, schemes and policies
  • Identification of planning controls that currently influence the sustainable development of the Retail and Commercial Sectors within the Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • Identification of potential planning measures which will facilitate the sustainable development of the Retail and Commercial Sectors within the Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • Preparation of Planning Scheme amendments giving practical effect to the future Commercial, Retail and Activity Centres planning in the Moreton Bay Region
