Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust to provide town planning services associated with the development of two self-contained senior independent living facilities in Yamba, NSW. Our services involved undertaking changes to the Development Consent relating to each of the developments to facilitate their construction.


Precinct successfully obtained amended Development Consents relating to a 50 unit multi-storey senior living facility and a 34 dwelling single storey senior living community. The changes involved an increase in the height and design of the multi-storey facility to assist with the feasibility of construction works. Additionally, the changes to the 34 dwelling community sought to enclose the open carports to increase security for residents together with changes to the unit typology which better addresses the needs of future residents.
