Georgina is a qualified town planner, completing her Master of Urban and Regional Planning at The University of Queensland (UQ) graduating in 2019. Her five years of experience in real estate marketing and administration inspired her to pursue a challenging and rewarding career in the planning and development industry.
As part of her Masters, Georgina completed a qualitative assessment of the key drivers of the housing crisis in San Francisco. Specifically, her research was centred around the effects of NIMBY, or Not In My Backyard, attitudes on planning and development and touched on the reform of planning policy to mitigate these issues. Her studies at UQ also involved many strategic and practical courses, including a study in the Moreton Bay Region. Before joining the Precinct team Georgina completed an internship at a town planning firm in Brisbane in which she provided town planning advice for general enquiries and assisted in the preparation of reports for a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Georgina is pleased to have joined Precinct Urban Planning and is supporting the team from the Ipswich office.
